Teresa Kay Smith Chapman, 48, died on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006.

She was born in Chattanooga and was a former employee at Provident Insurance Company for 18 years. She was a former resident of Chickamauga and had resided in the Naomi community for the past 23 years.

She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, making crafts, playing tennis and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Eugene "Gene" Smith; and recent grandfather, Frank Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas K. Chapman; daughter, Heather Chapman; grandson and "Little Man," Landon Chapman, all of LaFayette; mother, Tena Stewart Smith, of Chickamauga; grandmother, Aileen Stewart, of Sylvania, Al.; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Robert Davis, of Chattanooga; brothers and sister-in-law, David and Rita Smith, Michael Smith, all of Chickamauga; five nieces and four nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, in the chapel with the Rev. Hoyt Williams officiating. Burial will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
