Obituary

Sarah Jane Scott was born in Orleans county, New York in November 1851, and came with her parents to Dallas Center, Ia., in 1868. In 1871, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Collins, at Des Moines, Ia. To this union were born ten children, of which four died.

After her marriage she made her home at Storm Lake, Ia., remaining there until 1883, when with her family, she moved to Hand County, living here until the time of her death.

In 1906, Mr. Collins passed away, and in 1910 she was united in marriage to Arthur J. Ferguson.

Mrs. Ferguson leaves to mourn her sudden death one daughter, Mrs. Ed Miller, and five sons, W.L. Collins, O.H. Collins, John Collins, Harrison Collins and T.L. Collins; three sisters Mrs. Moore, of Storm Lake, Ia., Ms. Jesse Cole of Topeka, Kans., and Mrs. James Walle of Rock Valley, Ia., and three brothers Wm. Scott, John Scott, and Robt. Scott, all of Miller.

Funeral services are being held pending word from relatives.
