Service for Emily Reynolds

Ashton, Feb. 28 – Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Reynolds who died February 19 at the Ashton LDS church under the direction of Bishop Tom Murdoch.

Laurence Orme gave the opening prayer followed by the trio, Mrs. LaGrande Larsen, Mrs. Royal Weber and Mrs. Devar Clark, who sang "Abide With Me."

Virginia Reynolds read the obituary. Speakers were Bishop Murdoch, E. Glen Cameron and Boyd Reynolds. A nephew, Lloyd Reynolds, sang, and Shirley Reynolds gave a short talk. Emma Reynolds sang "That Wonder Mother of Mine."

Mrs. Myrtle Millward and Mrs. Cal Smith sang "Whispering Hope." Jim Allison gave the closing prayer. Ward Reynolds dedicated the grave in the Pineview cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim, Billie, Fred and Burt Reynolds, Sterling Hone and Bob Durrans. Honorary pallbearers were Willard Rogers, Abe Rogers, George Cordingley, Grant Harris and Don Cordingley.

Mrs. Reynolds was born July 6, 1865, at Chelstrup, Sweden, the daughter of Monte Roslund and Karin Olsen. She came to America when nine years old. In 1885 she married Levi Burt Reynolds and in 1902 they moved to Marysville where she lived until she moved to Ashton in 1930. Mr. Reynolds preceded her in death in 1922. She is survived by three sons and on daughter, Boyd Reynolds, Castledale, Utah, Carrie Humphreys, Ward and Bruce Reynolds of Ashton, 35 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
