Christopher Alan Ball
Christopher Alan Ball, son of Tom and Jan (Birdwell) Ball of Fort Jones, left this world suddenly in Berkeley, Calif. on Dec. 20, 2012. He was 44 years old.

Christopher was born in Sacramento, Calif. on Sept. 24, 1968. He moved to Sis-Q Ranch in Scott Valley in 1973 where his mother was raised.

He attended Quartz Valley School, Fort Jones Elementary and graduated from Etna High School in 1986. He graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life West Chiropractic College in Hayward, Calif.

After spending 10 successful years in England while married to Kathy Ball, Christopher returned to California in 2005 to pursue his career as a doctor.

Christopher was a spiritual being having a human experience. His natural skill of helping patients, friends and family through his chiropractic skills was a gift and a passion. He was happiest while outdoors and often claimed his cathedral was the natural world.

His love of people, animals and work at Sis-Q Ranch will always be remembered. Christopher will be missed by many for his creative, inspirational, loving, accepting and genuine spirit!

He is survived by his parents Tom and Jan Ball of Scott Valley; brothers Sharmon (Monika) Ball of Walla Walla, Wash. and Aaron (Emily) Ball of Durango, Colo.; nieces Kyana and Sage Ball of Durango, Colo.; his uncle Dennis Birdwell of Reno, Nev.; aunts Carol Birdwell of Reno, Nev., Stephanie Ball of Florence, Italy and Donna Birdwell of Reno, Nev.; cousins Wendy Birdwell of Reno, Nev., Vicki Birdwell of Reno, Nev., Geri Quintero of Fort Jones, Brenda Quintero of Middletown, Calif., Audrey Quintero of Sausalito, Calif., John Quintero of Hayward, Calif., Cassandra Barbieri of Florence, Italy; the Ed Rose family; and an extended family and many close friends throughout the world.

A celebration bonfire will be held at Sis-Q Ranch on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at 6 p.m. A memorial will be held this summer
