The graveside service at Crown Hill Cemetery for Wilbert Lester (Bert) Kendall, former Powell resident, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18.

Mr. Kendall died Wednesday, Oct. 9 in Springfield, Mo. Memorial services were held in Kimberling City, Mo., Sunday, Oct. 13.


He was a graduate of Powell High School in 1958. He married Gail Hatch in 1966, and they lived in Tulsa, Okla., for many years where he was employed by Unit Rig and Equipment Company.

Later he and Gail owned and operated Arrowhead Point Resort and Campground on Table Rock Lake near Branson, Mo. In 1992, they developed the property into a subdivision.

Survivors include his wife, Gail; his mother, Geneva Kendall of Powell; a sister, Eva Havens and husband Jim of Joliet, Mont.; three aunts, Mrs. Hettie Rood of Powell, Helen Marlow of Clarkston, Wash. and Dee Kendall of Great Falls, Mont.; and several cousins, including Don and Sue Hammontree of Powell.

For those who wish, the family suggests memorial contributions to Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 102 Washboard Hollow Road, Reeds Spring, MO 65737, or Kidney Cancer Association, 1234 Sherman Ave., Ste. 203, Evanston, IL 60202.
