Born Sept. 17, 1922, in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Stashaskie) Waraksa.
She was a 1941 graduate of Shamokin High School.
Madalyn first married Vincent P. Griscavage, who preceded her in death. She later married William McIndoe, who also preceded her in death.
Until her retirement, she was employed in the food service department of the Shamokin Area School District.
She was a member of Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin, where she sang with the church choir for many years. She was also a member of the Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include two sons, David Griscavage, of Woodstock, Ga., and Vincent Griscavage and his wife, Martha Rothenberg, of Vienna, Va.; a daughter, Lisa Foley and her husband William Snyder, of Hinesburg, Vt.; two grandchildren, Ellen and Colin Snyder; a sister, Albina Shultz, of Shamokin, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Philip Griscavage; two sisters, Helen Romanoski and Anna Antas, and five brothers, Joseph, Frank, Stanley, Louis and Anthony Waraksa.

MCINDOE — Madalyn E. McIndoe, 90, formerly of Shamokin. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin. Interment will follow in St. Edward's Cemetery, Coal Township. There will be no viewing or visitation. The Stephen A. Chowka Funeral Home, 114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Doctors Without Borders, P.O.
