ARTHUR V. CHARSHEE: 78, one of the most prominent lumbermen in the State, will be held at 10 A.M. tomorrow at the Henry W. Jenkins and Sons funeral home, 4905 York road. Mr. Charshee died Tuesday at his home, 334 East University parkway, after an illness of several months. Mr. Charshee entered the lumber business with his father when he was only 19 years old. He formed his own commission lumber business in 1926. He was president of the company, Arthur V. Charshee Lumber Sales, until his death. Member Of Clubs, He was a member of the National Association of Cen mission Lumber Salesmen, the Baltimore-Washington Lumber Sales Club, the Southern Wholesale Lumber Association, the National Hardwood Lumber Association and Hoo-Hoo Club No. 100, of Baltimore, a national lumbermen’s fraternal organization. He served as an officer in several of the groups. Survivors include a son Thomas A. Charshee, and three daughters, Elizabeth C. Crooks, Carolyn C. Clements and Ann A. Charshee. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery (Evening Sun, Balto. 10/10/1957)

ARTHUR V. CHARSHEE: who had been in ill heath for some time, died at his home last Tuesday in Baltimore. He was born in Havre de Grace, the son of the late Thomas A. and Ann Charshee, and had been a lumber salesman and inspector in Baltimore for many years. He is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth C. Crooks, Mrs. Caroline C. Clements, and Miss Ann A. Charshee; one son, Thomas A., all of Baltimore. He was the nephew of Mrs. Walter Burns, Green Street, this city. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Henry W. Jenkins & Sons Co., 4905 York Road.
