Mary Jane Skinner Myers, age 81 of Estill Springs, TN passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center. Mary was born March 31, 1925 in Loogootee, Indiana, one of six children born to the late Earle Francis and Agnes Grethel Smith Greenstreet.

Mary and her family moved to Illinois where she became a mother and a beautician. In 1963, she attended Aurora School of Beauty in Aurora, IL and then opened Mary's Beauty Shop in Leland, IL where she worked for many years. Mary was a wonderful cook and baker and was famous for her homemade chicken and noodles. She loved all types of gardening, bird watching and spending time with her devoted poodle, "Mitzi".

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Barry E. Wesson; a brother, Donald Greenstreet; and two sisters, Virginia Antrobus and Marjorie Rissman.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Roger C. Myers of Estill Springs, TN; children, Roberta (Norman) Wesson of Leland, IL, Richard (Phyllis) Skinner of Leland, IL, Michael (Diane) Skinner of Colorado Springs, CO, Gary (Jill) Skinner of Waterman, IL, Randy (Shelia) Skinner of Mendota, IL and Sheri Myers (Greg) O'Neal of Winchester, TN; step-children, Deborah (Gary) Rogers of Mendota, IL, Jim (Mary Jo) Myers of Peoria, IL and Mark (Connie) Myers also of Mendota, IL; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry "Hank" (Jean) Greenstreet of Oswego, IL; sister, Sandra (Wayne) Larson of Kaneville IL; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Greenstreet of Canyon City, CO, Barb Waltzer of Mendota, IL and Marilyn Henkle of Sublette, IL; a loving and devoted poodle, Mitzi Myers of Estill Springs, TN and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of the Watson-North Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Rutherford, officiating. Interment will follow in Watson-North Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Watson-North Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Suydam United Methodist Church, Leland, IL with Wendy Witt, officiating.
