Raleigh - Dawn Marie Harris, 41, of 4217 Pin Oak Road, beloved daughter of Curtis Gardner Harris and Marie Bright Stephens Harris passed away peacefully at her home on December 27, 2012.

Dawn was born in Wake County on November 9, 1971.

She graduated from Enloe High School in 1990 and was an avid Duke fan. Dawn was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Dawn will be remembered for her courage, straightforwardness, and her big heart by all who knew her.

Funeral Service 4:J00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 with Reverend Kim Lamb and Reverend John White officiating.

The Harris family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private inurnment will take place at Montlawn Memorial Park.

Surviving, Parents, Curtis and Marie Harris of the home; Sister, Sherri Harris Matheson and husband, Patrick of Wake Forest; Nieces, Marley and Macy Matheson; Aunt and Uncle, Vicki and Mike Murray of Morehead City, Aunt, Rachel House of Louisburg; Cousins, Jamie Richardson (Jess), Michael and Nicholas Murray, Morgan Pearce; Her special love, Her chihuahua, Bella.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Gardner Harris, Jr.
