More About Charles Sherman Wilson:
Was Charles S. Wilson, 61 year old attorney, murdered? Police listed his death as due to natural causes after his body was found on the Los Angeles Country Club golf course, Oct. 2, and a coroner's autopsy disclosed that the immediate cause was acute alcoholism.
Yet yesterday the Federal Bureau of Investigation office at El Paso announced that Joseph P. Hart, 26 asserted Army deserter from Ft. Old, had confessed killing Wilson with a wine bottle during a drunken argument at the links.
Hart was arrested by Federal agents for violation of the Dyer Act. for assuredly driving Wilson's car to Deming, N.M. where it was found abandoned last Monday.
Despite Hart's admissions there is insufficient evidence to obtain a murder complaint against him.
Hart told F.B.I. men that Wilson picked him up in front of the Hollywood Canteen the night of Oct. 1 and drove him to the golf course where they began drinking. An argument ensued and Hart said he struck Wilson on the head with a full bottle.
Finding Wilson dead, Hart said he dumped the body in a flower bed and drove off.

Address at death: 5525 Bonner Ave., No. Hollywood, CA (per death certificate) Burial: Los Angeles, CA ("Veterans Adm.Fac.", Plot 164, RW C/13)
