Theodore James "Ted" Austin - age 74 of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Ted was a professional driver for Walt and Art Arfons, driving the Cyclone and Green Monster. He later owned his own alignment shop. Ted worked with cutting horses on a ranch in Texas. In later years he drove semi trucks across country. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble Austin and Florence Ulrich; brothers, Bob and Sonny Austin. Survived by his longtime companion, Mary Williams; son, Teddy Austin; grandson, Harley Austin; "daughter", Kristi Sherrod; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to Avalon Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
