Ruth Barton Pullium, 93, of Andrews died Sunday, December 30, 2012 in an Andrews care center. She was a native of Cherokee County. She was a retired school teacher and counselor. Ruth was a member of the Andrews United Methodist Church and was in the genealogy society.
She was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Emma Coffey Barton and the wife of the late Ray C. Pullium, who died July 13, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Ray C. Pullium Jr. and wife, Helen of Alexander City, AL, and Jerry B. Pullium and wife, Kathy of Savannah, GA; four grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Andrews United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Macdonald officiating. Interment will be in Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe and Bob Barton, Mark and Steve Mintz, and Keith Lovin.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Andrews United Methodist Church prior to the services.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Ruth Barton Pullium to the Moss Cemetery Fund, PO Box 100, Marble, NC 28905.
