Professional Hockey Player. A native of Chicoutimi, Quebec, Gagnon played for teams in the CAHL, NHL, AHL, QPHL, Big-4, ECHL, QAHA, QSHL, and the CBSHL hockey leagues. At 5'05, and 150lbs, Gagnon played the position of Right Wing for the Chicoutimi Bluets from 1922 to 1923, Quebec Bulldogs from 1922 to 1923, Trois-Rivieres Renards from 1923 to 1926, Quebec Sons of Ireland from 1925 to 1926, Quebec Castors from 1926 to 1927, Quebec Beavers from 1926 to 1927, Providence Reds from 1927 to 1930, Montreal Canadiens from 1930 to 1940, Boston Bruins from 1934 to 1935, New York Americans from 1939 to 1940, Shawinigan Cataracts from 1940 to 1941, North Sydney Victorias from 1941 to 1942, and the Rhode Island Scarlets from 1947 to 1948. Gagnon also played in the NHL All-Star Game in 1937 and 1938. After his playing days Gagnon became a coach for several local teams in and around Providence, Rhode Island, and Cranston, Rhode Island. Gagnon also became a scout for the Providence Reds for 13 years and the New York Rangers for 14 years. Gagnon passed away in Cranston, Rhode Island, on March 22, 1984, at the age of 78.
