Chris Evans, age 58, of Big Perry Road, Morehead, Ky., passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

He was born January 24, 1954, in Rowan County, Ky, the only child of the late John Fields Evans and Fay .Pauline Williams Evans.

Chris was a 1972 graduate of Rowan County High School and attended Morehead State University. He was an avid U.K. fan and enjoyed traveling, reading, music, gardening, and farming.

Chris is survived by many devoted cousins, including Don Maher, Pat Maher, and Allison Maher Stern, who spent many happy years together as they grew up as siblings in both Fay's and Ruby's homes.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Don Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Eric Maher, Justin Maher, Don Maher, Pat Maher, Jack Williams, Gregory Williams, Tim Brown, Darren Blevins, and Darren Blevins, Jr.
