She was a daughter of the late James and Laura (Foreman) Gooch.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, Hunterstown, where she served 30 years as a church elder, 28 years as Women’s Association treasurer, and as a Sunday School teacher. She graduated from Mt. Victory High School in 1943, and formerly worked for a variety of textile companies. She also worked 13 years with The Brethren Home Community.
She was the wife of Clarence (Mike) Williams, who died March 23, 1969, and is survived by six sons: Richard L. Williams, York Springs, Ronald A. Williams, East Berlin, Clarence A. Williams, Littlestown, Theodore O. Williams, LaRue, OH, Newton E. Williams, Littlestown, and Roger O. Williams, New Oxford; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mary K. Berry, Pataskala, OH. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Olen and Ray, and three sisters, Dora, Zelma and Anabel.
