Young murder victim. The incident became famous nationwide when her body was found in Delta, Missouri and a nationwide manhunt began for her killer. Even after 50 years, her murder remains unsolved.

Daughter of Otto Huffman and Lillie Bollinger Huffman.

Bonnie was valedictorian of her 1950 high school class and played basketball. She attended Missouri State Teacher's College on scholarship and using what she earned working at a Woolworth's store. She took a job at Buckeye School in Old Appleton, teaching grades K-8 in one room. Bonnie helped support her mother and brother. She paid to put electricity into their three-room farmhouse; she covered the bills when farming didn't. She is still missed, said friends and family.
