Rose Hamilton Moore, 82, of 1305 Monterrey Drive died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Laughlin Service Chapel with Bill Cantrell officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore had served as president of The Alabama Council of Flower Show Judges from 1961 to 1965. She was a National Council Master Judge, and served as President from 1963 to 1965.
Mrs. Moore served three terms as president of the Virginia Clay Clopton Chapter #1107 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She served as Honorary Life President of the Alabama Division of the United Daughters of the Confideracy since 1979.
She was a charter member of the Whitesburg and Chevy Chase Garden Clubs, and organized many other garden clubs in the area.
Survivors include a stepson, Robert H. Moore, of Sylacauga; three nephews, Larry Murdock of Mickleton, N.J., Robert M. Hamilton of Upland, Calif., and Col. Bert Gray of Fairfax, Va.
