Drexel Webb was born in Elk City, Ok. At a young age (around 4) he moved with his family, Melvin & Lizzie Davis Webb and brother, Kermit, to Johnson Co, KY. His mother died when he was around 4 years old and Melvin married Miriam, who died, and then Bessie. Melvin died in 1965. In 1938 Drexel married Inez Killen and to this union was born 3 children, Donna Jean, Larry Rhett and Linda Lou. He worked for Consolidated Coal Co and later Bethlehem Steel in Jenkins, KY, retiring in 1976 after 46 years. They retired to London, KY where he became a land owner, a Zoning Board Member and Kiwanian. They moved to Lexington, KY in 1997 to be near their daughter, Linda. He died in 1999 at Country Place Nursing Home in Lexington, KY and Inez died in 2004 in New Washington, IN, where she moved to be near her daughter, Donna.
