Margaret Leola Davidson Abee, 91, of Hickory, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born Jan. 7, 1921, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther Davidson and Sarah Pauline Elizabeth Davidson. Margaret was employed with Moose Products for 20 years. She was a good cook and always was willing to do for others. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice for their tender loving care. A daughter, Terri Abee McClelland and husband, Casey, of Hickory; a son, Fred Hollar and wife, Donna, of Hickory; six grandchildren; and three great-grand-children survive her. Her first husband, Carroll Hollar and her second husband, Jones Abee; a daughter, Margaret Hollar Moretz; two sons, Eddie Hollar and David Hollar; two sisters, Ruth Cook and Gladys Setzer; two brothers, Frank Davidson and Earl Davidson preceded her in death. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today, (Monday, Dec. 24), at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, in Hickory. Pastor Robert Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour, prior to service, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
