Samantha was my great great grandmother. Her first husband (my line) was Reubin Burress who was killed in a well around 1876 in Jasper, AL. He was supposedly cleaning the well and it caved in on him. They married around 1870 probably in AL. She traveled by wagon train from AL to MS. She married George W. Jacobs, Sr. on Mar. 24, 1889. Her death date is approximately 1911 to 1912.

Her grave was not marked. Relatives met at the cemetery and placed this marker which they chipped in for.
