Harold J. Wisher, 55, a native of Au Sable Forks, New York, died early Saturday morning, February 1, 1969, at the Champlain Valley Hospital in Plattsburgh, New York, of a heart condition.

Born September 10, 1913, he was the son of the late John and Sufrina (Soulier) Wisher.

Being an electrician by trade, he operated a radio store in Au Sable Forks for many years and then accepted employment at Republic Steel Corporation, in Troy, New York, where he remained for over twenty years. Then in 1962 be decided to return to his birthplace where-upon he purchased and operated Jack's Diner. While in the North Country he worked at the Plattsburgh Air Force Base for five years but at the time of his death he was employed at Republic Steel.

Mr. Whisher was a member of the local Council 2301, Third Degree Knights of Columbus for many years. He received his fourth degree in Glens Falls, New York. During his early years as a Knight he was elected Grand Knight and upon his return in 1962 he was again chosen Grand Knight.

He was survived by his wife, the former Delores Facto, five daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Meeker, Mrs. Patricia Shufelt, and Ruth, all of Troy, Janet, Mary and Phyllis, of Au Sable Forks, three sons, John of Troy, Paul and James of Au sable Forks; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Russell of Au Sable Forks, and Floyd of Schenectady, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Ricks of Long Island, and Mrs. Lucy Hill of Mechanicville, New York.

The funeral was conducted from the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Parlor to Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks, where a con-celebrated Mass was celebrated by Monsignor Wilfred Nugent, Rev. Philip Allen and Rev. John Fallon. Pallbearers were Francis Whisher, Lyman Boynton, Gary Boynton, Clifford Pattno, Robert White and Ronald Wilkins.

Burial was in Holy Name Cemetery with Monsignor Nugent officiating at the grave.
