Mary Lischer Frazier was my grandmother. She loved to play the piano and organ and and she road the train to Bellview, Illinois for lessons. During the "silent movie" era she play the organ as background music at the theater. For many, many years she played for the local Methodist Church in Mascoutah, Illinois for services, weddings and funerals. Mary loved to cook, especially baking yeast breads, sweet breads, pies, cakes and cookies. She was a perfectionist at this, and everything was absolutely delicious, especially her yeast coffee cake with fresh peach topping. MMMMM good. She was a strong, independent woman who cleaned out her rain gutters while up on a ladder clear into her "80's" and maintained her house and yard as long as she could. There wasn't a tune that you could name, whether it was "honkey tonk" or gospel that she couldn't play by ear. She played with a passion because this was her love, and she loved to make people happy with her music. We all miss her. Mary M
