Dr. Sidney Allan Fox, after an illness of six days, died of pneumonia early yesterday at his residence, 122 Cambridge Place, Brooklyn. He was thirty-four years of age and was well known both as a skillful physician and for his gratuitous work among the poor. Dr. Fox was medical Director of the Brooklyn Dispensary for treatment of diseases of the nose, throat, and lungs, at 545 Fulton Street, where free medical attendance is given to the poor. This dispensary Dr. Fox organized in 1888, and he devoted three afternoons a week to treating patients there. Dr. Fox leaves no children. His wife, the only daughter of Congressman-elect William J. Coombs of Brooklyn, is lying dangerously ill with typhoid fever. The funeral will be private and will take place from his residence Friday afternoon. The interment will be in Greenwood.
