Alice was the daughter of James Hacking and his wife Jane Rogerson Hacking. She died before the family immigrate to America in October 1849. She was listed on the ship's passenger list, but the John Sampson Hacking Family Bulletin #3-1957 says that she died in England before they left Liverpool on the James Pennell September 1849.
