Anna Marie Laudwein of Damascus, MD passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 17th 2011, at her son's residence in Silver Spring, MD, after a short illness. She was born on February 14th, 1921, at her parent's home in Riverdale, MD.

She was the daughter of Emma Cecelia and John Urquhart, and graduated from Hyattsville High School and the University of Maryland. During World War II, she worked for the Department of the Navy, and later was a flight attendant with Capital Airlines until her marriage to Robert F. Laudwein in June of 1949. They lived in Great Falls, Montana before Mr. Laudwein's transfer with the FBI to New York City and lived in River Edge, New Jersey where they were active members of St. Peter the Apostle Church. When Mr. Laudwein retired from the FBI, his position with Eastern Airlines took them to Miami, and they lived in Plantation, Florida until 1995, when they moved to Damascus, Maryland to be near their children.
