Lawrence J. Beck, of Framingham, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 26, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Sylvia (Neiterman) Beck. Devoted father of Adrienne Beck, Vivian Niedzinski and her husband Richard, and Steve Beck. Proud grandfather of James Niedzinski. Dear brother-in-law of George Speen. Dear brother of the late Claire Speen and Ruth Balkin. Larry was a proud U.S. Army veteran, and served in the Korean War. He earned a Bachelors and Masters degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. Larry was a member of Temple Beth Sholom and its brotherhood, and the Jewish War Veterans. Services at Temple Beth Sholom, 50 Pamela Rd., Framingham, MA on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 am. Following the service, interment at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance will be held at his late residence from 1:30 until 2:30 pm and will continue Saturday evening, 5:30-8:30 pm, and Sunday 2-4 pm 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor his memory may be made to Temple Beth Sholom, 50 Pamela Rd., Framingham, MA 01701, and the American Heart Association , 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
