John Vasco Roddy, 83, of 3257 Janice Acres St., Asheboro, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Friday, November 2, 2012, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Ken Whitley, Rev. Danny Peterson.

Burial, Randolph Memorial Park , Asheboro.

He was a native of Polk County, retired from Burlington Industries and a member of Lakeside Park Church of God. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Stutts Roddy, and second wife, Ruby Ingold Dezern Roddy, and son, Alvin John Roddy.

Survivors: daughter, Linda Roddy Moore, and husband, James, of Asheboro, son, Jimmy Carrol Roddy, and wife, Doris, of Asheboro, stepsons, James Dezern, Gary Dezern, David Dezern, Dennis Dezern, Perry Dezern, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
