David C. Backman, 77, a retired used car dealer, Topeka, died Sunday at his home. He was born May 6, 1884, in Axtell and had lived in Topeka since 1925.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary Margaret Backman and two sons, Peter W. Backman and Warren G. Backman, all of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Hylton and Mrs. Ellen Cogaine, Los Angeles, Calif.; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Ansel Backman of Willlits, Calif.; several nephews and nieces.
