Was the first cashier of Chattooga County bank, and was always found to be a ready and useful man in town and county matters. His communications to The News, signed Nelse Walker, were extensively read and enjoyed. He had been a member of the Baptist church for many years, and was always interested in her welfare and development, being a regular attendant upon her services, when not providentially hindered, liberally contributing to her demands in her endeavors to promote Kingdom work. He was a good citizen, loving father and husband, and will be greatly missed. The News extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
