He was born May 12, 1973 in Bristol, TN the son of Omer Wade Dowell, Mother and Step Father Shiela Shortt Shoun and Tom Shoun.
Eric was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School and attended Tennessee Tech. He previously lived in Gainesville, GA where he was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church but had lived here the past three years.
Along with his parents he is survived by:
Children: Hobie H. Dowell, Saylor A. Dowell, Jackson P. Dowell, and Carson H. Dowell
Brother: Kenneth Dowell
Grandmother: Stella Shoun
Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins
A funeral service will be held at 8 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Baird officiating.
The burial will be 11 AM Friday in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in Blountville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Booher, Moses O'Neal, Ryan Gebhardt, Mike Shoun, Steve Stoots, and Joshua Price.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6 to 7:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
