Jack Altsman, 77, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Friendship Ridge.

Born October 2, 1935 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Harold B. and Mamie Bissele Altsman.

Jack retired from Damascus Steel in 2002 as Superintendent, was chairman of the Beaver Falls Republicans and served 37 years as a Republican Committeeman. He was a Constable in the 3rd Ward, an avid fisherman and hunter and member of the First Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Tolbert Altsman, Brighton Twp.; two sons Ronald Altsman, formerly of Fombell and Jack Altsman, Warren, PA; two daughters, JoAnn Altsman, formerly of Fombell and Jackie (Eugene) Smith, Coraopolis; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1901 Seventh Ave., BEAVER FALLS, where services will be conducted Monday, December 31, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. by Pastor Susan Irons.

Private interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Friendship Ridge on 2 East for their concern and loving care of Jack and request memorials be made in Jack's memory to the Beaver County Humane Society, P. O. Box 63, Monaca PA 15061.
