"Mary Ann Loughridge was born near Belle Center, Ohio, on December 1, 1868, and passed away in Marysville, Kansas, on March 6, 1958, at the age of 89 years, three months and five days. She was the daughter of Daniel and Eliza Loughridge and was the last living member of a family of ten children. On March 5, 1895, she was united in marriage to John H. Braum, and they established their home in the Denison community where they lived together for fifty-five years. To them were born five children: Dan, of Washington, DC; Howard, of Emporia, Kansas; Frances, of Lead, South Dakota; Maryalice of Marysville, Kansas; and Delber, of Denison, Kansas -- all of whom survive her. She had twelve grandchildren, and twenty-five great grandchildren....Her Christian faith was a source of inspiration to her throughout her life, and the richness of her belief inspired others. During her last illness, her Bible was her comfort and her help....Memorial services were held in the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Denison, Kansas with Rev. Wiley Dougherty officiating...."
