MILDRED FERN HOOD, 86, longtime Pearland resident, passed away peacefully on Christmas morning. Mrs. Hood was born March 18, 1926 to Lewis and Clara Rutherford in Pearland, Texas. Married to Claude Hood for 53 years, he preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include 3 sons, Presley, Lesley and wife Nancy, and Timothy and wife Julie, 8 grandchildren, Kimberly, Timothy, Kenneth, Sarah, Jeremy, Amy, Andrew, and Paige and 7 great-grandchildren, David, Nicholas, Ethan, Miles, Emmanuelle, McKenzie, Ian and numerous other relatives. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Africa Inland Mission, PO Box 3611, Peachtree City, GA, 30269-7611 for the benefit of Sarah Hood.
