Anna married Victor Skoog in Minnesota, where she died in her 30s. She was transported back to her hometown Marietta for burial with her parents and siblings.

Anna and Victor had three children, Victor, William and Jack. When Anna died and was buried with her parents, the three children from Minnesota moved in with Anna's widowed mother Eliza and Anna's siblings, and attended Marietta High School.

Victor and Jack used the surname Smith, rather than Skoog, while brother William used the surname Skoog-Smith.

Son Jack L. Smith (memorial # 103042859) died in Marietta in 1982. He was adopted as an infant by his mother's brother, William H. Smith, so shows in Findagrave as son of William, but, biologically, he was son of Anna.

Son Dr. Anton William "William" Skoog-Smith lived in Omaha, Neb., when his brother Victor died in 1975, and then was buried in 1985 in Roseville Cemetery, Ramsey County MN. (Memorial # 78792234 ).

Son Dr. Victor H. Smith and his wife Marion Reedy Smith are buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Aurora, IL, where he was a radiologist at Morris Hospital, Newark, IL, according to his obituary on file with the Washington County Historical Society in Marietta. Victor and Marion had three sons, Victor, Michael and Clement, and four daughters, Margaret, Elizabeth, Sarah and Mary -- according to combined obituaries. (Memorial # 50099568 )

Both of Anna's sons Dr. Skoog-Smith and Dr. Smith were radiologists. In 1955, Dr. Anton Skoog-Smith was listed as secretary of the Nebraska State Radiological Society.
