Nancy Lunsford, 94, of Murphy died Thursday, December 27, 2012 in a Murphy medical center. She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Nancy retired after 32 years as a secretary with Cherokee County Home Extension Office. She was a member of the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Lawson and Dorcas Lovingood Lunsford.
Nancy was the beloved aunt of three nieces, Naomi Hale of Macon, GA, Kathy Fuerst of Durham, NC, and Kay Robinson of Candler, NC; and a nephew, Jim Lunsford of Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2012 in Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Chester Jones officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wil and Mike Robinson, Peter Gajdos, Sam Fuerst, Fred Carson, and Bennie Pipes.
The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 Sunday afternoon at the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church prior to the services.
