Born Aug. 18, 1949, in Gadsden, Ala., she was employed as a program consultant with the State of Georgia.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Herbert of Antioch, Tenn., and Jessica Akers of Ellenwood, Ga.; her mother, Gaynell S. Mayne of Rome and a brother, Donald (Doc) Mayne of Rome.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Horis A. Ward Inc. Fairview Chapel in Stockbridge, Ga.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
