Emma was born on March 23, 1920 in Gotera, Colorado to John C. and Dora (Phillips) Burk. She married Homer M. Wallace on January 26, 1944 in Gallup, New Mexico.
She was an accomplished small airplane pilot. She earned her pilot license and flew with her husband most every week. She was a member of the San Luis Obispo Pilots Association, and a member of the Professional and Business Women's Association. She moved back to Oklahoma in 1994 where she enjoyed her family and friends and attending Senior Citizen Country Music Nights.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dora and John Burk; husband, Homer M. Wallace; brothers, Raymond Burk, Roy Burk, Calvin Burk and Jackson Burk; one sister, Mary Lou Burk Jenny.
She is survived by sister, Jeanne Burk Longan, husband, James; brother, Bobby Ben Burk, sister-in-law, Elnora Burk; plus many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
