Geneva Louise Pressley Walker, 82, of Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation, formerly of Broad Street, died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the nursing center.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Lexington Church of God, where she was a member, with the Revs. Lonnie Daugherty, David Hatcher and Todd Kiger officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.

Mrs. Walker was born March 2, 1930, in Buncombe County, to Nelson Pressley and Savannah McElrath Pressley. She was a former employee of Erlanger Mill. At her church she was a former president of the Ladies Ministry, Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee "Super" Walker, who died June 4, 1998; brothers, Guy Pressley, Ray Pressley, Clarence Pressley and Carl Pressley; and sisters, Dorothy Buie Paquin, Gussie Potts, and Margaret Lanier.

Surviving are son, Donnie Walker and wife, Brenda, of Lexington; daughter, Sharon Leonard and husband, Jerry, of Lexington; grandchildren, Cori Walker Sink and husband, Nathan, Christi Walker Ball and husband, Brandon, and Toby Bivens and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Lucas Bivens, Ally Bivens, Christopher Ball, Camryn Ball, Cadon Ball, Adison Sink, and Gracin Sink.

The family would like to express their thanks an appreciation to Abbotts Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Centerclair Nursing Home and also the Life Center for the care given to Mrs. Walker.
