In addition, family friends and neighbors around Wallace Street in Lufkin surrounded Louise and JC in their later twilight years in a most loving and compassionate way: former neighbors Kathy and Ernie and children whom Louise and JC loved as their own; special neighbors and friends Robbie, Bob, Sandra, the Rosales family, Sue, Ray, Vaughn, Fran, Belinda, Ann and Carolyn and the Maddux Family.
Louise was a native of Alto, growing up in the Central High and Mt. Zion community of Cherokee County and graduating from Alto High School. Married in 1939 in Alto, Louise and JC lived in Pasadena during WWII, moved to Lufkin after the War, and lived in Lufkin for over 60 years. Louise worked for years at Taylor Hardware and retired as a teller from the First National Bank of Lufkin after 20 years employment.
A member of First United Methodist Church in Lufkin for almost 60 years, Louise's memorial service will be at the church at 12 noon on December 29th. A family burial service will precede the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. in Alto at the Old Palestine Cemetery, with Allen Funeral Home of Alto handling that service. The family has great appreciation for the card ministry of First United Methodist Church, 805 E. Denman, Lufkin, TX 75901.
