BLUEFIELD ? Fannie J. Hawks, 80, of Route 4 Box 65-B, Bluefield (formerly of Chesapeake, Va.), went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield.
Born on May 20, 1926 in Bluefield to the late Joseph Watson Neal and Brenda Victoria Perdue Neal, she was a member of the First Church of God in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, one sister, Clo Mathena and three brothers, Jesse Neal, Bill Neal and Herbert Neal, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years: Jesse C. Hawks of Bluefield; brothers: Joe Neal of Havana, Ohio and Frank Neal of Morgantown, Ind.; sisters: Clara Lovelace of Greenville, S.C., Pauline Burton of Bluefield, Evelyn Caudill of Princeton, Frances Owens of Chesterfield, Va. and Kathlene Sellers of Tampa, Fla.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the First Church of God, 301 Mahood Ave., Princeton, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Charles Shrewsbury officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends and family may call at the First Church of God, 301 Mahood Ave., Princeton, today, July 10, 2006 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Nephews will be serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Hawks.
The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell, is serving the Hawks family.
