He was born March 22, 1941 in Fort Smith to Jack Dempsey and Margaret Annetta Kiger Clymer.
He was a retired employee of Woodco Inc and veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Margaret of the home; daughter, Jacqueline Annetta and husband Michael Jason Pope of Jacksonville, NC; two daughters from previous marriages, Teresa Harp of Oklahoma and Joann Hollis of Alabama; one sister, Vickie Combs of Garden City, Texas; two brothers, George and Richard Garrett both of Kibler, AR; three grandchildren, Jonathan Gray, Isabella Pope, and Zoey Rose Pope.
He was preceded in death by a son David A. Clymer.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be his family members.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
