Monty Montgomery, age 68, a longtime resident of Big Lake, passed away December 22, 2012, at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Christ The King Community Church, 2111 Riverside Drive, Mount Vernon, with Pastor Cliff Tadema presiding.

Monty Montgomery, age 68, a longtime resident of Big Lake, was united into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ, on December 22, 2012. He lived his life every day to bring honor and glory to God.

Monty lived in Edmonds, WA for 49 years where he taught high school and coached several sports at Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale High School. He then moved to Big Lake, WA where he taught and coached at Sedro-Woolley High School.

Monty was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, teacher, coach and friend to all. Monty was a natural leader & genuine man who reached out with love to everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Robyn; his 4 children, Kris and husband, Herold Hudson, Beau and wife, Monica Montgomery, Ben and wife, Jamie Montgomery, and Josh Montgomery; 12 grandchildren, Luke, Samuel, Erin and Ruby Hudson, Marshall, Austin, Ridge, and Todd Montgomery, Aidan, Emma, Henry and Mason Montgomery; two brothers, Roger and wife, Judi Montgomery and Bill and wife, Robyn Montgomery; 4 nieces and nephews, Ginny, Amy, Erik and Mike Montgomery.

He was met in heaven by his parents, Keith and Virginia Montgomery, his granddaughter, Annie Montgomery and his niece, Erin Montgomery.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 4, 2013, at Christ the King Community Church, 2111 Riverside Drive, Mount Vernon.
