George and Rebecca were married on June 24, 1854 in Clinton County, Ohio and they had five children together: Theodore, William, Sarah, Elizabeth and Georgianna "Georgie" West. Theodore, William and Sarah all died in 1861. Rebecca's youngest daughter, Georgie, was born a few weeks after George died.
