Jewell was born on Jan. 28, 1929, in Cave City, Ky., the daughter of William Parker and Eva J. Coats Spearman. Jewell was raised and educated in Cave City, Ky., where she attended local public schools.
Jewell was employed 40 years at the Monmouth Pottery or Western Stoneware in Monmouth. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary and the former Eagles Auxillary. She enjoyed gardening, her friends and socializing.
She is survived by her half-sister and brother Linda Lou Wilson of Blythe, Calif., and Bill Spearman; and special friend Donna Newton of Monmouth; also a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
