Anniston - Funeral services for Mrs. Iva Fletcher Anderson, 89, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Rev. Charles Israel officiating.
Burial will follow at Eulaton First Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Anderson passed away on November 26, 2012 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Anderson Sr. and daughter, Judy A. Caperton.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her sons, Dr. John P. Anderson Jr. and his wife, Mimi Maclin Anderson, of Rainsville, and Dr. Bruce E. Anderson and his wife, Dr. Kathleen Brunke, of Poquoson, Va.; son-in-law, Bryan Caperton of Branson, Mo.; grandchildren, Dr. Mary-Stuart Anderson Gallian and her husband, Dr. Andrew Gallian, Clinton Caperton and his wife, Alicia, Kyle Caperton and his wife, Jillian, Karl Anderson and Kevin Anderson; great grandson, Zane Caperton.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Carroll County, Ga. and has lived in the Anniston area since 1950.
She was a member of Eulaton First Baptist Church and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. She served as a Pink Lady at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center for 30 years.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class at Eulaton First Baptist Church.
