He married Gertrude Malicki.
They had two children: Dolores G. (Beck) & Richard.
Claude enlisted in the Army on 29 Mar 1916 and was honorably discharged 11 Jun 1919. He was a Private in Co. L., 2nd Indiana Infantry, National Guard. At the time of his discharge, he was part of Co. G., 325th Infantry, 82nd Division. He also served with Co. L., 150nd Infantry, 38th Division.
He worked for the railroad and was killed in a train accident.
