He spent most of his life working in quality control at various companies, General Motors in Flint, MI; RCA in Memphis, TN and 12 years at York Division of Borg-Warner Corp. in Madisonville, KY, where he retired in 1986. He was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church in Owensboro.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lucille Cummins of Owensboro, KY; a daughter, June Dianne York (Daniel) of Pinells, FL; a son, Winston E. "Benny" Cummins, Jr. (Patricia) of Memphis, TN; a step-daughter, Patricia Grooms of Owensboro, KY; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Toby.
Among his past-times, he liked to visit friends at Hardee's in the mornings, read the daily paper, and watch "Wheel of Fortune" and baseball on TV. His family would like to thank Janice Barnett at USBank; the employees at Hardees and Grandy's on Fredrica; John Blair; Don Daniel; Phil Conyers; friends at Park-Regency apartments; Bill and Christine Ervin; Mr. J.
