SANFORD – Beatrice Elthea Smith, 62, of Grammar Road, died May 17 in her home after a long illness.
She was born at Sherman, a daughter of Eugene and Helen Morgan Osnoe, and came here 45 years ago.
Mrs. Smith was a volunteer for Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Cerebral Palsy.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Ralph C. Smith of Sanford; five daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Leah) Reilly of Ames, Iowa, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Dilworth of Heidelberg, Germany, Roberta Smith of Alexandria, VA and Luella Bennet and Mrs. Perley (Helen) Sargent Jr., both of Sanford; two brothers, Merton Osnoe of Medway and Joseph Osnoe of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Belva) Scott of Medway and Mrs. James (Glenda) Campbell of East Millinocket; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held May 19 at Heald Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Springvale. Burial will be in Dow's Corner Cemetery, Standish.
