Byron Reeves Sr., 64, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Clayton, AL, Byron graduated from Central Tech and was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital with over 20 years of service. He was predeceased by his parents, Verdell Seasor and Lloyd Jackson, and his sister, Lucy Holbdy. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Frances (Otts) Reeves; his children, Adrian, Monique, Byron Jr. and Jeffery (Nicole) Reeves; his sisters, Verdia Blodgett and Petornia Cosby; cousin, Elouise Ousley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Elater and Mary Brunson; special friend, Marie Duncan of Buffalo; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held noon Friday in Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the church, 515 Oakwood Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205.
