Died in the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic. One of the brave, unfortunate men who went down with the largest and most luxurious ocean liner of all time, the Titanic. A University of Southern California graduate in 1907, Clark was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and took part in several student activities. He and his wife were traveling first class headed for Los Angeles when the disaster occurred. Walter had once served as manager of the Los Alamitos Sugar Co., and was the son of J. Ross Clark, Vice President of the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad. Mrs. Clark (Virginia McDowell) survived the sinking of the Titanic and was rescued by the Carpathia. She passed away in 1958.
